This project marked our first contract under the New Hospital Programme, delivering a full design-and-build prototype bedroom ward with en suite to support clinical testing and spatial evaluation for the NHS.
Built to test complexity, the prototype challenged us to carefully integrate all MEP services within tight corridor spaces, while ensuring long-term accessibility and maintainability. Through close collaboration with the NHP technical team, we refined and optimised the design to meet rigorous future-use standards.
A standout moment was seeing the finished prototype showcased at the iHEEM Exhibition in Manchester, where months of collaboration between our team, Reds10 and the NHP programme were proudly displayed — and enthusiastically received — by industry professionals.
