MEP Technical Administrator

Role Summary:

The MEP Technical Administrator will be supporting the MEP Technical Coordinator in the evolution of the product. You will carry out a variety of design and drafting tasks while working as a member of the Design Team, under the direction of the MEP Technical Coordinator.

As well as maintaining the physical and digital records of the design, you will be involved with the development of MEP proposals. The tasks and responsibilities below are typical of the duties the postholder will be expected to perform. It is not necessarily exhaustive and other duties of a similar nature and level may be required from time to time.

This role provides critical administrative and documentation support to the Design and Project teams. The role ensures technical documentation is prepared and delivered in line with customer, project, and regulatory requirements. By maintaining accurate records, supporting technical administration tasks, and collaborating with multiple departments, this role underpins the successful delivery of the projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • The primary function of the role is to contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Business by undertaking administrative tasks that assist the delivery of projects and project documentation.
  • Prepare, format, and submit project documentation (drawings, manuals, datasheets, and certificates) in accordance with client and project requirements.
  • Liaise with site delivery teams regarding handover information / documentation.
  • Follow the guidelines for the design, manufacturer and delivery of the product.
  • Support the Design Team with administrative tasks.
  • Comply with the processes stipulated under the company quality assurance processes, liaising with all relevant stakeholders as required.
  • Work in a safe and sensible manner within the boundaries of the Company Health and Safety Policy and any additional site restrictions.

Education:

  • Completed secondary education (e.g. GCSEs, A-levels, or equivalent)
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical drawings and documents is an advantage but not essential, as training will be given

Experience and knowledge:

  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages
  • Awareness of technical drawings or CAD outputs (e.g., Autodesk Revit) is a plus, but you do not need to design or edit these files—just manage and process them.
  • Experience in office administration, document control, or supporting technical teams is beneficial, but not essential for the right candidate.

  • Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information
  • Self-motivated and ability to take responsibility is essential.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily task
  • Flexible and enthusiastic attitude.
